Renewing your Membership
Our membership year runs June 1st to May 31st. Annual membership fees are due June 1st.
Due to the impact of the Covid19 pandemic on the club’s activities, the executive recently approved the following:
Membership fees for the 2020-2021 term have been reduced to $20.00 from $40.00.
Members who joined in the 2017-2018, 2018-2019, and 2019-2020 terms will be offered an option to renew their membership for one additional year for a maximum
of 4 years.
The club’s budget will be regularly monitored by the Treasurer to monitor the impact of this change.
With summer vacations and the influx of new members in September, payments received from renewing members in June are very appreciated!
After October 15th, members who are eligible to renew but have not paid the annual membership fees, will be removed from the membership and be unable to participate in activities or meetings. Members who have completed the maximum three years in the club will be able to attend activities until August 31st, then will be removed from the membership including participating in activities or meetings. Members who have completed two to three years in CVNC are eligible to move into an Alumni club.
To renew your membership:
- Print and complete the 2020-21 Membership Renewal Form. Complete* a cheque for $20 payable to “Comox Valley Newcomers’ Club”. *Use the date you complete the cheque. While the CVNC general meetings are virtual, mail or drop off your renewal form and cheque to the address on the renewal form.
- Print and complete the 2020-21 Membership Waiver Form. Include this completed form with your Renewal Form. Members who have already renewed musts complete the revised waiver before the are allowed to participate in any Newcomers activities.
- Before signing the 2020-21 Membership Waiver Form please review the CVNC COVID-19 Safety Plan
- The waivers and or renewal forms can be either mailed to or dropped off at 2772 Fife Place Courtenay V9N 4A6
