Message from the President
Welcome to the Comox Valley Newcomers’ Club website.
Our club offers a wide variety of activities and outings for our members all year long. We have indoor and outdoor activities plus monthly gatherings at pubs and restaurants throughout the valley. The mild climate makes it easy to enjoy the outdoors any time of the year. We take advantage of nearby Mt Washington for snow shoeing in the winter and hiking in the summer.
We encourage women interested in joining our club to come out to one of our weekly Friday morning walks to explore local paths and meet some of our friendly members. Walks are scheduled every Friday , all year long (except for statutory holidays). Click here to view the current schedules. We also have scheduled Monday morning walks for people who prefer a later start. No need to sign up – just show up!
On Friday February 8th we have an opportunity to do our Friday Morning walk and talk with women in the Comox Valley who belong to the three Newcomer organizations, Comox Valley Newcomers, Glacier Alumnae and Comox Valley Newcomers Alumnae. We thought it would be an opportunity to meet each other, walk and have coffee together at the Comox Golf Course. The walk is going to be in the town of Comox and will start at 9:30 am. Meet at Johns independent parking lot at 9:20.
