December Virtual Meeting

We had another engaging Virtual Meeting on Zoom in November. We saw old friends and met new friends.

We are planning an incredibly special December Virtual Meeting on Zoom, Monday, December 14, at 7:00 pm. We will have fun and games (see what can be done on Zoom). Part of the time, we will be put into small groups to meet new women and have more interaction.

If you are not yet a member, please fill in the form on Contact Us on the menu bar. Request a link to the Zoom meeting or ask questions about joining.

Current members will receive a link to the Zoom meeting in your inbox before the meeting. If you do not receive the link by email, please contact us at [email protected].

November Message from the President

Welcome to November in the Valley!

For those of you who are really brand new to the Wet Coast, this is the start of Gore-Tex season—and layering.

We get many grey, dreary days, so it is really important for our well-being to dress appropriately but get outside! If you haven’t walked in a rain forest on a dripping day, letting the quiet and the incredible green freshness seep into you, you have a major treat in store. I hope you all take advantage of the many beautiful trails here, by yourself, or with a friend, or in our walking and hiking groups, carefully following all of the protocols.

I realise that we are all more than a little weary of the Pandemic. Please know that we really appreciate everyone taking care of themselves and others by following the protocols for all of our groups. We are not meeting inside homes or in restaurants at this time. We are also maintaining at least 2 meters from each other even outside and masking when that isn’t possible. Because we are so cautious, we are able to meet in person. It’s so important that everyone continues to make that possible.

Of course, we are also meeting on Zoom. Our next General Meeting is on November 9th at 7 pm. The link is at the bottom of this message. We will be enjoying a presentation by our speaker, Natalie Catto from the Comox Regional Library as well as discussing our favourite Christmas traditions and canvassing for ideas for our Christmas meeting. I really hope that all of you will be able to make it.

Take care, stay safe.
