March Message from the President

Hello everyone and welcome to March.

The theme for our March 8th general meeting will be the celebration of women and International Women’s Day. Our speaker is Twila Skinner from the Comox Valley Farmer’s Market and there will be opportunities to dance, sing and chat with each other. I hope to see most of you there.

Our nomination committee is seeking volunteers for the Board and for Convenors for our next year. If you are interested in any of our executive positions or in chairing any of the Standing Committees or convening a group, please let me or the other members of the committee know, Denise Evans ([email protected]), Lori Novak ([email protected]), Darlene Linden ([email protected]) and Kaylene McKinnon ([email protected]) We currently have volunteers for President and the Vice Presidents, but have no one yet for Secretary or Treasurer. The Standing Committees include Membership, Publicity, Activities, Welcome and Life Events, Website, and 50/50. Lori has offered to stay for Hospitality and Deb Bunston will continue to chair the Safety and Protocol Committee. Volunteering in any of these roles is yet another way to make wonderful new friends. Working with the women on our Board this year has been an immense pleasure. If you are unsure, know that everyone supports everyone else and we all help each other to excel in the roles. We really do have fun.

Below find the member only zoom link to the general meeting. Please do not share this as prospective members are supposed to get the link from our Membership Chair.

Thank you.

Denise Evans
